The, only thing this Card does do, with some what functionality is to provide a very limited range of Bluetooth connection, as long as the paired-connected device is only inches away from the Laptop. As far as it’s ability to detect & connect to Wi-Fi Networks,it’ range is less then ten feet! Associates, of mine who I have frequently shared Wi-Fi Network Connections with for diagnostic purposes, in the past with other Laptops that I have owned, now, when trying to use this worthless internal RTL8723DE Modem, My associates Wi-Fi Networks less then 30’ from me are "NO LONGER" detectable and connectable! Since I’m not overly thrilled with the option of dedicating a permanent USB Wireless ADAPTER, permanently eliminating the availability of a USB PORT, I in vainly attempted to contact HP, with this most Critical Crisis, in hopes that they would appreciate the Paramount importance of having a good , reliable, fast internet connection on New Computers for today’s Gaming,Video, Streaming demands requirements. I assumed, like most Computer Manufacturers install (bare-bones components, to just basically get the product out the door, that they were going to offer me an dual band upgrade modem for my model HP Laptop! Instead HP’s position was basically, that they did "NOT" care, whether or not that I could establish a usable Wi-Fi Internet connection & there is "NO DUAL BAND Wi-Fi/4.2 or higher Bluetooth Combo Mini PCIe Modem Card that can be installed in my HP NoteBook Computer!
