I am in temporary housing, and this problem just happened for the first time -- I’ve had this PC for ~4 years in its configuration. My PC experiences detrimental network latency and bandwidth issues when I connect to the wifi at my location. My PC usually changes the network state to "no internet access" before disconnecting from the wireless network. On the contrary, I have no problem with internet access from my macbook and phone at the same time that my PC is virtually non-functional. Even local network traffic is bottle necked or broken; I was using scp to transfer files from my macbook to PC and the data rate would maximize at 1 Kb/s then choke out.I have been running my PC off of my phone’s hotspot feature for a month now, and I have zero problems connecting my PC to my phone with wifi. In fact, sometimes my phone automatically bridges my home wifi to my PC when in hotspot mode, and this works fine. This leads me to believe that the issue is in software and not in the PC hardware.
